Exhibiting artist Liz Magor will discuss the unexpected relationship of photography to her sculptures. Magor’s favored techniques of casting and molding offer an illusionistic connection to the objects they represent in much in the same way photographic images mirror their subjects.
We know you were all wishing it would never happen, but the day has finally come. The twins... are turning 30. And by our calculations that means all of you are really, really, old!!! So why don't we all celebrate our oldness together! There will be bands. There will be cake. There will be champagne. Above all, there will be YOU celebrating that the older you get, the stronger your friendships become. So, pull out that designer suit and dust off your best Betsey Johnson (yes that means dress up damn it, you slackers) and come play with us at O'Brien's Pub in scenic Allston. Yeah we know, O'Brien's, but who needs a posh interior when you have such attractive friends right? Speaking of attractive, Thom Savant N' Friends will be providing soothing ukulele covers of our favorites as well as some new originals, and Lifestyle will be proving, once again, that you can't go wrong with a stage full of hot manly ass. Prepare to cut a rug (even though there aren't any at O'Brien's, thank god, that would be gross) to all our favorite dance hits as Freezepop and co. set the DJ booth on fire. This is a private event so please RSVP as soon as possible because we'll have a list going at the door. Also, if you know anyone that should be on this list and isn't, please add them! And feel free to bring a date but not twelve of your date's friends. Partaaaaaaaayyy!!!!!
