Traveled to Boise, ID on Sunday for a meeting with clients.
Quite surprisingly, Boise is about 10 million degrees, has no trees, no local cuisine, and people live there. All four traits instantly reminded me of Fort Worth.
The highlights of the trip were 1) Watching an e...

Went to Fenway Friday and watched my second Red Sox game in 3 days. Not being from Boston and always fearful of being a late jumping bandwagon type of fan, I hesitate to say that I am a fan of the Red Sox fan. However, if they will let me join the Red Sox Army, I am on board.
There is simply n...

My cousin Fil took the camera and clicked a weekend's worth of pictures during my mini-holiday in Boston. Some of the pictures are actually pretty good (road shot and field). I suppose that being 4 feet tall helps when you are framing / centering scenes, but the kid has talent.

Easily the most scenic day of our trip is when Gerry, our guide, took us to some religious temples in Japan. The temples themselves were fantastic and were covered in wonderful gardens. I hate to use the word "neat", but it was "neat" to see people expressing the own religio...

Along our travels through various tourist sites in Tokyo we stumbled across a Samurai Sword shop. The only employee was this old man who did not actually create the swords, but was more a sword polisher and sharpener.
The place was very drab, but very clean and the swords were arrayed in gl...

The first official overseas business trip for my company. We ducked over to Japan for 5 days visiting clients. There were three companies that we visited during the course of the trip.
We stayed in Shinjuku Tokyo at the Washington Hotel, which is incidentally, known for its cramped quarter...

I re-read Kelly's dandelife entry entitled "Gary and Kelly Shake Hands on the Deal" and I thought it would be best to describe my side of the story and why I am a behind the curtains entity for dandelife. I first me Kelly in July 2001 on a soccer field . It was one of those small wor...
