My family got our cat Whiskers, who taught me a lot about how to make other organisms not dislike you
 Worked as a research assistant over the summer, but I sucked
 Got my first AOL instant messenger account and my passion for online communication began
 Decided not enough amazing things have happened in the last year after filling in lots of the biggest events of my life on dandelife
 Moved to Mountain View, CA
 Wrote the first piece of software that I was truly passionate about - a music recommendation engine
 Dated Amy for a month
 Dated Reid for a month
 Started dating Amy again
 Re-met Sarah after 3 years, proceeded to date
 Met Bethany
 Saw Marcela a year before I actually met her, in the play Angel Street
 Marcela moved to California and moved in with me on June 10
 My cat Whiskers died
 My dog Cocoa died
 Ski trip to Quebec with Ross
 Moved to Pittsburgh for grad school at Carnegie Mellon
 Governor's School East - best 6 weeks of my life
 Summer Ventures at App State in Boone
 Visited Rick in Germany, Austria, and Hungary
 Had a big operation to fix a kidney birth defect (I still have a big scar)
 Got born
 Moved with my family from Methuen, Massachusetts to Burlington, NC
 Started my first job as customer support at Netpath, a local ISP
 Bicycled around Ireland for a month
 France study abroad, including Belgium and Amsterdam

 Went to Brazil for 2 weeks, bungee jumped

 I went to 3 proms - with Amy Yap, Lauren Goers, and Pam Leech
 Started work at Google
 Interned at IBM ("extreme blue" program), lived in Durham, NC
 Graduated NC State undergrad in computer science with minors in math and french
 Met Marcela at Rick's diner discussion night where I came to talk about art and technology after having a very inspirational class with Golan Levin
 Moved to California (Palo Alto) from Pittsburgh / North Carolina
 Graduated grad school - Carnegie Mellon HCI masters degree
