A must for all urban junkies. Join Travis Elborough, author of acclaimed book 'The Bus We Loved', for his lively talk about London's Routemaster bus. Travis will explore how this humble bus became a cherished global icon, featuring on postcards, books, and souvenirs as well as staring in many films and television programmes. In the eyes of the world the Routemaster represents the city just as much as Big Ben and Tower Bridge. Taking in everything from the James Bond, the Festival of Britain, Douglas Scott, Flanders and Swann and Cliff Richard to the Eagle comic, Sam Selvon, Alfie and On the Buses, get on board for an entertaining, digressive, cultural tour of the Routemaster's life and times. The talk is part of the Last Stop progamme of events. Last Stop is an exhibition of art photographs of the Routemaster bus taken by Ralf Obergfell. £10.00, £8.00 (concessions) and includes entry to the Museum galleries between 17.00 and 18.00 on the day. Take a trip down memory lane on Sunday 20 April 2008 when London Transport Museum’s art deco Tube train will make three rare journeys between Ealing Common and Uxbridge stations. Built during the heyday of screen legends Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, the 1938 Tube stock is a design classic that remained in service for 50 years. It was a technologically advanced train with a sophisticated design and streamlined exterior. The design continues to influence the style of new Tube trains in the 21st century. The train leaves Ealing Common station at 11.07, 13.07 and 15.07 and the round trip is approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. Tickets cost £26 (£22 for concessions) and must be booked in advance no later than one hour before your selected train journey departs Ealing Common station on 0207 565 7298.

Dear All, Please make a note of Saturday 26th April in your diaries for my 30th birthday bash. We will start with some drinks and canapés at a place called Thai silk in Southwark those that are still standing and haven't embarrassed themselves on the karaoke machine can join me at a club only a few minutes away. Please let me know if you can make it as I need to confirm numbers with the venue. For the guys on this list I have booked a 5-a-side football pitch on the same day at 11am for some 30 year old football action. Please come along and show your skills, we can have a couple of beers afterwards. P.S. If you are really good (or bad) you may feature on youtube. Hope to see you all there. Mike

Come and have drinks to help beckon in a new age for me. All are welcome! I am planning to have a great time and i want you all to help me do that. Obviously I want you to have a good time too!! So come along and help me celebrate 23 years on this planet!

Dirty riffs, dirty beats, dirty samples... It is guaranteed to be an AWESOME night, so be there! http://www.hospitalrecords.com/hospitality/heaven/ I have my tickets already, so basically just book yours, and let me know that you are coming so that I know who to contact nearer the time so we can all meet up and head there together! It's gonna be good. Promise.

OK OK I knew this day would finally come.. yes I am now getting old. So the plan....well.... still organising this but I am hoping to go to a club/bar with Live music... possibly in London.. Feel free to invite others.... the more the merrier! More details will follow!!

I need to record a DVD of me doing a public performance on the contrabassoon hence the randomness!! Not entirely sure what my program will be yet but it will have some Bach suites and Erwin Schulhoff's 'Bass Nachtingale' in it and maybe one other jokes piece if I have time to learn it by Thursday!! Whatever I do it will be short and sweet so if you're around come and laugh!!! If anyone fancies it I'm thinking drinks in the bar/nines after will be essential!!

Claire & Margaret are finally moving into their own flat and would love you guys to join them and celebrate this exciting and long awaited occasion. We're having a housewarming to commemorate this and have themed it as a FANCY DRESS! This is your chance to be bold, creative, mad and just dress up - you know you want to!!! Bring something too drink, we'll be serving a wicked punch and some snacks... Here are some websites to inspire you or to purchase from - go wild, I hear we've already got a Britney Spears coming...... http://www.allfancdydress.com/ http://www.pantaloons.co.uk/ http://www.escapade.co.uk/ http://www.partysuperstores.co.uk/

Finally I've got round to organising this! If the timing is not cool, then feel free to suggest a reschedule... I propose starting at 7 to give time for an early dinner, 3 hours should be enough for a battle or two! Perhaps a mixture of free-for-all and co-operative games. Have a look at the maps and see if there are any decent ones we could try out! If anyone wants to make a custom we could give that a go too! Don't worry if you're out of practise, despite the fact that I love this game, I hardly ever play it and have never been great at it! It's all good fun! Finally I've made the event closed, but if you want to add people please forward this on and we can get them added! Experience not necessary, however you will need starcraft installed (at least as a fully legal spawned copy for multiplayer use without a CD) Until then I suggest you prepare your fleets!

Trade Show attendees doubled in 2006. In 2007, Attendees doubled again. Over 3,000 prospective photography buyers attended in 2007. This resulted in the California Show being one of the best attended State Shows in the United States. Professional Photographers of California conducts an extensive marketing campaign to promote the convention and trade show throughout the United States, focusing on the Western States Region. The Marketing Strategy focus on a team effort between organizational staff AND all Trade Show Vendors. Marketing occurs via broadcast e-mail, websites, industry publications, direct mail, vendor client lists and numerous personal appearances at photography meetings throughout California. Most of our direct mail goes to the 7 western states with over 60,000 advertising pieces distributed to photographers, college photography students and photography schools.

I'm leaving LogicaCMG after 7 years ... time to celebrate

I am finally leaving Southsea/Jobsite to concentrate on my travels! Moving home for a few months before I depart you all and set sail across the globe for a year! To mark this occasion... Helen & I would like to invite you all to our last houseparty! Those of you who have attended one before, know that they start off quietly.. but end up being an absolute hoot! Last one that we had back in November, ended at 7.30am! This date will also be my last day at Jobsite.. so will organise somewhere for a few drinks after work too! So, come along and join us!!!

After bumping into Lee the other day very randomly in Peterfield's "Tescos"...we thought it might be a cool idea to meet up for a "few" drinks in Portsmouth before I leave the area!! Plus we havent seen a few of you for ages!!! Anyway, have a suggested date below.. let me know if you can make it! The plan is, is to start at The White Horse ( a revamped Lantrys!), move onto "The Drift".. then wherever the night takes us after that!

Well, its like this: - Meet at a restaurant in Camberley (probably an Italian, or an Indian, possibly a Chinese, but almost certainly something a little more specific nearer the time) - Eat some food - Drink some drink - Talk about some things - Drift to a nightclub - Boogie - Have a laugh - Sleep at Mine and Matts - Breaky in the morning I have included photo's of how the evening usually turns out:

Random gathering: London. Event: tba (Suggestions for good pubs/bars in London welcome!) Bring: Yourself

If you, like me, have failed to organise anything for New Years Eve this year and fancy coming round to celebrate then come on down.

The first of hopefully many Photowalks bringing together people from different places, and different photo sharing sites. I haven't got a location for it yet though, so please gimme some ideas either here or on the upcoming page (for more than just Facebook-ites.) http://upcoming.yahoo.com/event/381367/

I will be celebrating my Birthday this year at the Camden Underworld with some indie sounds. Its £5 to get in with the flyer that can be found at at this link http://www.theunderworldcamden.co.uk/clubnights.asp I will of course be going to a nearby pub before hand from about 7, not sure which yet so give me a call on the day if you can make it. As usual its a bit late notice, and to those of you who's birthdays I didnt make it to this year, im sorry, im sure I had good reason but lets put that all behind us. See you all there!
