we'd been so busy and traveling so much over the summer, i wanted to do something fun and stupid for my birthday. so we went to the leinenkugel's brewery, and then went bar-hopping in eau claire, wisconsin. it was so much fun.

i've wanted to go to the safe house in milwaukee ever since i first heard about it from my parents, who used to go there 35 years ago. we had such a great time.

matt, wendy, willis and i went to chicago to see a cubs game, and milwaukee to see a brewers game. we also managed to get up to a lot of hijinx in the non-baseball hours.read the travel journal here!

a bunch of us went camping at brunet island state park, northeast of eau claire, wisconsin. we canoed, went fishing, swam in the river (kind of), had dance parties, cooked over the fire, and generally had an awesome time. as always.
