Physician − 17 August, 2006
Four years of pre-medicine, another 4 years of medicine proper, and a year of post-graduate internship. This is where it all comes down to, the Physician Licensure Exam. I had 3 months of supposedly intensive review, loads of cramming, self-doubt, self-confidence (but not after Pathology, Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics) and tons of prayers. At around eight o'clock in the evening, the result was out. Seq. No. 1433 Verastigue, Jade Talavera. Relief. Excitement. Called Mom and Dad (but Dad wasn't home yet, so he found out a little bit later), called Mark (he was already tense the day before), called my aunt (who's also a doctor). Congratulations were pouring in. Ended the night with a thank you prayer. I knew I passed because God willed it, He let me.
