Yukon Denali XL Via Ebay  − 28 April, 2006

You know you trust in Internet commerce when you buy a vehicle via an Ebay.com auction. It was my first time buying anything over $400 on ebay. I bought tons of Raider memorabilia on Ebay and I never really got the shaft as so many do.

Chris had a Town and Country van and while it was her first car she ever bought on her own, she wanted something more reliable. We had driven from WI to PA in it and ever since we have been afraid it would break down. I wanted something sharp. We started looking on Ebay just for shits and giggles.

We found a Chevy Tahoe "Southern Comfort" Edition that was smooth looking but it was just a little too expensive. We started looking at GMC Yukon Denalis. I'm a Hip Hop fan and trust me, I've seen tons of them sitting on Dubs and alot of chrome and I thought they looked sharp. We were still just dreaming though.

It took us a long time because we wanted a Denali with Navigation, a DVD for the kids in the back, a CD Changer for us in the front, and a Sunroof. We finally found the perfect one. Most cars we looked at had every feature except one and the excluded feature was always different. We sprung for it and never looked back.

This thing is a beauty, you can see for yourself. It has a computer for every function, from auto-leveling suspension (in case you have a ton of groceries or camping gear in the back), to auto-sensing headlights (For those too lazy to turn the lights on, it'll turn on the lights for you once it senses darkness.) to sensors in the wheel-well that let you know when a tire is a little low. We're still discovering little cool things and we've had it for almost 5 months.

We actually found it on ebay and called the dealer (an exotic car dealer named Chicago Motor Cars) with questions. The owner basically closed the auction and declared us the winner. It was delivered after our vegas vacation, otherwise they would have delivered it to us the next day.

Granted, many of you may disagree with the whole SUV idea, and I think it's unneccessary for a soccer mom to have one unless that soccer mom has 4 kids and we go on weekend vacations alot. Trust me, we need this truck and it's always full of people. It is a gas guzzler, but not as much as, say, a Mustang. I was actually surprised at how long $75 lasts.

This is my new baby and I rarely drive my Durango anymore. Chris has even suggested I move my Raiders license plate holder to the Denali and switch the Denali from XM ready to Sirius use. I highly recommend getting one if you have a ton of people in your family and money sitting around with nothing better to do. :)

Here's the dealer's info for you, they deliver anywhere in the continental US:

You may see Chris and I in the video (my first video on Dandelife) if you look at the nice clean reflection. Please ignore us as it's just a figment of your imagination.

I figure there's a way to compress the file so it doesn't take 20 minutes to upload, but it's my first one, so I have an excuse. :)
