Fourth (and final, for now) Tattoo  − 2 March, 2002

Randy's birthday rolled around and said she wanted to go get a tattoo on her back. She said we should go and get one together. I had been wanting one on my lower back for awhile so I spent about two weeks, looking at different designs to decide what I'd like best. I finally opted for a butterfly design that "branched" out from the spine.

I recommended the parlor I had gone to the year before. Randy decided on a flaming sun and I stuck with my butterfly. I thought my shoulder hurt, but this fucking hurt. No tears or anything like that, but it took a lot of restraint to not yell. Those nerve endings made the whole process very sensitive as I often could feel the pain go all through my back.

After we were done, I looked it over and really liked it. It's not too far out there, but edgy enough.

I'd actually like to have another tattoo, but it would be more for the sake of having one at this point as I have no idea what it would be or where I'd put it.
