Campus, early morning − 20 October, 2006
The other day I set out with my friend Samantha to visit a career expo that was taking place in the community college on south campus. We stood at a transit stop with some strangers as we waited for the bus to arrive. Before long it showed up and saved us from the cold.
We get to the expo and we immediately realize that we're severely under dressed. Men and women in freshly ironed shirts and shiny cuff-links scurried around us as we made our way through the building. After a time my dusty army jacket and myself decided we didn't much feel like career expo-ing anymore that day, so Samantha and I hopped aboard an outbound bus and headed back toward the dorm.
Cold, tired, and wet from the sudden downpour I grimaced as I made my way to class. The squishing of my wet flip-flops under my feet was painfully unpleasant. I squish-squished into my classroom and sat down.

Bowling Green Technical, I think is what it's called. Though, really, I have no idea.

I had a hunch it was in Ohio. I don't know why. I guess you get a sense of certain things when you're from around there. I'm from Cleveland and Columbus, so go figure. Welcome to the site, BTW. Let me know if there's anything I can do to make it better, yeah?

Thanks, and I'll keep that in mind.
