Anesthesiology, UP-PGH − 31 December, 2006
I am happy with how my 1 month of pre-residency went. During residency, however, I expect to be eaten alive by consultants, to be subjected to nervous breakdown inducing crisis in the operating room, to be time and again bombarded with self-doubt and feelings with low self-confidence, to be overworked, to be jaded. I am optimistic and am willingly subjecting myself to three years of these only because I believe that I will be undergoing a very good training of how to become a master of the so called art of controlled poisoning. I shall become guardian of life in the operating room, and a good one at that. I know the following 3 years will mold me to become a good anesthesiologist.
