New Years 2007 − 1 January, 2007
Well, New Years has happened, and it was good.
I decided a while ago that I was gong to spend it with someone that I care a good bit for. Heh, that didn't happen, and I wasn't even privy to the fact that I was planning it till I thought about it today. I made no plans after the thought that I wanted to spend it with her. So here I am sitting here last night thinking what am I going to do? Well the plan became that I would go to a shelter, help the homeless. Noble and good I thought. Well, I didn't do that either. I ended up spending it with a good friend at a Baptist church. HA!!! I'm not exactly the church type, and if I went it would be to a Presbyrterian church. Reserved, calm, stand up, sit down, sing the Hymns, etc.... Well, I'm certain that by reputation you know that a Baptist Church isn't like that at all. I loved it, and I heard the message just the same.
Life is beautiful, that's all there is to it.
So they year in review? It was fantastic. I was not in control at all, and everything worked out better than I could ever imagine.
I got a profession, not a job, not a career, a profession, and a love that I couldn't have imagined.
I was at a job where I did what I was told, showed up, and thought that was it. Unfullfilling, but what I had gone to college for, so who could complain! I rented an apartment, settled in and did what I thought I should. I was all set to be there in that place for the rest of my life.
Then I got a call. Come down to Maryland, work here! Well, this place that I went to had quite the reputation, and I wasn't so sure about all this. But I went anyway. Come this New Year I'm in Maryland, loving the life that I have been so gracefully been given. I feel blessed.
