The Day I Met William, "His Stormy Cloud of Acid Rain Continues To Fall" − 14 March, 1991
I was working as a Schedule Coordinator front desk at a private school in Mission Valley...Thsi was my first job in San Diego...I told a co-worker of mine that I was gay....And didn't know of any one or any place in town to hang out...I didn't think such places existed..Since I just ran-away from home (in Pennslyvania) to be with my grandmother... Martha, my co-worker, said she knew of someone that was gay and a very good friend of her's that she has known since High School...I told her I wasn't into girly guys nor any one so obvious...She said not to worry that he was a mechanic and I wouldn't be able to tell by looking at him....He was coming to fix her car while we were at work...and I could take a peek at him then...I said why not...Better than nothing, and anything to get out of my grandmothers house cause it was packed full....Stacey and her second husband...with her 4 kids...Renee (8) Christopher (5) Phillip (3) and Cory (2)...Not a fun place to be if you where looking for privatcy....
The mechanic should up on time at 2:15pm just like she said he would...He approached my desk...first stopping at the door...gazing at me... I thought he was lost...cause he really didn't dress like he had anything to do here at the School... He wore a mechanic's jumper, zipped open to his torso, and shirtless of course....grease stains spotted all over himself...brawd shoulders and narrow at the hip...a very handsome physique... But his hair was spiked on top and carried the classic mullet style...Oh, cant forget his glasses, they must have been tri-folcals...I never seen glasses so thick before, except on my Advance Biology teacher Mr. Benneck, but they suited him... My first thought of William was...."My God, He's Creepy" My second thought was..."He Can't Be Gay" But he already knew my name from Martha and softly spoke it when he introduced himself to me.. But what won me over was his charm...(more like a snake, but as you continue to read about William over the years we had been together I'll let you judge for yourself)....and mannerisms and how polite he was... Spoke of things that this gay boy needed to hear...His goofy appearance swooned my heart...but it took him awhile to catch me...
I remember Martha and I checking him out through the office window while he worked on her car...She asked me..."What do you think...?" With a large smile on her face..."And he has brown eyes too, just like you like.." I replied back to her..."Well you really couldn't miss them with his Coke-Bottle glasses.."
