I met Sophia Today − 13 October, 2006
I had been talking to her on myspace for some time, but I never really thought that I would get to meet her.
I was wrong. I sent a message to her asking to go for coffee or something. Well, she of course said yes or I wouldn't be writing this.
I got lost on the way to the GMU metro station. Drove around, and actually ran all over the place trying to find it. I abandoned the car for about 30 minutes walking and tying to find someone that would give me directions. Finally did.
I was early. I was so nervous. And I even had the advantage! She had never seen me! I had a picture of her at least.
I stood at the top of the escelator and waited. And waited, and waited......
I went into the tunnel looking for a bathroom, and she came around the corner. I almost fell on my face. I knwo all this sounds like the typical corny love story, and that's fine because it was. The coolest thing was that it was mine. She was there and She was with me.
We went to Georgetown for dinner, and I threw out the budget (shouldn't have) but I did. Dinner was great, and we had a nice long walk by the canal.
I knew then that she would take my heart, I knew that she would be able to get me to do things that I wouldn't normally,a nd I knew that I had to be careful.
I wasn't.
