This goes to the distance education timeline. The years 1996 to 2000 exhibited a dynamic increase in universities and colleges offering online degrees and classes. This included many of the more traditional universities who are best known of more standard educational delivery systems. This era also was the time frame when many educational organizations began to officially acknowledge distance learning. I have included a brief many timeline.
--Stanford University starts its Asynchronus Distance Education course program
-Duke University begins it's Global Executive M.B.A. program.
--John Hopkins University offers it's Business of Medicine course online.
--Regent University School of Law and the ABA offer an accredited program in taxation law.
