Rally − 27 January, 2007
I attended yesterday's United for Peace and Justice rally and march on the National Mall in Washington, DC. Believe it or not, this was my first major march in DC.
After living here for nearly four years of the Bush Regime, that's saying something -- there's some kind of protest, march, or rally here every other weekend. The downside of this is the littering (all those signs and posters gotta end up somewhere, right? And they do: the ground!).
I'm particularly disturbed when the progressive causes that I believe in and support tear up the Mall and leave all their trash in what basically amounts to my hometown park. I don't come to your city and leave my sh!t everywhere, right? Please have the decency to pick up after yourselves when you visit mine.
Took some photos, a few of which you can see below. More after the jump to Flickr.
