I recently found out that I was almost aborted. Not a pleasant thought either. Apparently I should be forever thankful to my aunt for not taking my momma to the clinic back in 1978 :S
yes it is very disturbing indeed. Let's just say that skeletons just started falling out of the closet as if it was day of the dead every day once I became an adult. One thing to keep in mind my mother never admitted it any of this to me and God only knows what else she is hiding.
I agree, every family has it's stories and i think some are meant to be shared and I think some are better left on the shelf to collect dust. It will be interesting when our generation grows up and has families and all our lives are traced online so the stories that were better left on the shelf are open for all the world to see.
Now that I'm watching my parents deal with the slow mental and physical decline of their parents, I wish I had more evidence of my grandparents' pasts than my own memories. I created Dandelife as an thought experiment. That thought? "In 100 years what will the family tree look like?"
I like that Dandelife is here for me to record my life. If it weren't here, I'd just forget a lot of this stuff! But yes, knowing that it is out there for the whole world to see does cause me to self-edit!

Is it OK that I laughed anyway? :-)

Oh sure. My therapist thought it was funny, too. ;)

Goodness. Personally I would find that even more apalling.
