Fearfully fearless − 27 July, 2005
I went to St. Pauls monastery today. Father Bill was the monk that I have my appointment with. He's old, I can see that when I get there.
I'm not completely afraid of giving my 5th step, not at all actually. It's been pretty theraputic to do the 4th I have to say.
I left something out though. It wasn't an omission, it was more of an over sight. I told him everything about what was happening, but I didn't get into the real meat of that one last thing. He really did try, but let's be honest here.
I didn't get a damn thing from it.
I was forgiven, that was all, and I left that on the end table in the lobby...
See a 4th step is really about getting into the causes, the real causes, not just what we think we did wrong.
The 5th is that in depth analysis. I only got the confession. I didn't find out what the causes of my actions were.
It wasn't till much later that I got the opportunity to do a real 5th, and got some real results.
