I don't actually remember the day, I think it was a day or two after Easter, it was an unusually warm day..growing up in Philadelphia, especially in the city they had homes called "row houses"..which meant that every other beam in the roof is connected...so the city of Philadelphia was coming to take the home next door to us down..and my Dad was gonna see about buying the lot to maybe make our home a little bigger..
Long story short..they forgot to cut the beam connecting our house to the corner house and our house fell down, with everything in it..including my sister's dog..the dog was rescued but we lost everything but the clothes on our backs..boy my parents had quite a task to look forward to..not only finding a place to stay that very night, but to find another home as well..
