Entered MTC − 20 August, 1986
I entered the Mission Training Center in Provo, UT prior to departing for Korea. On this first day, I meet one of my life-long friends, Russ Beeton. We spend the next 8 weeks or so studying gospel principles and the Korean language. The days are long sitting in a classroom in a suit and tie, and the caffeteria food is common fare, with extra starch, or so it seems.
It is the beginning of 2 year service in a place I will come to love. Though I will miss my family and friends a ton, it will be one of the most important life shaping experiences I will ever have.
