I imagine this is a fairly common entry. Need a beginning point for the timeline.
I'm looking at Dandelife's suggestions. As if I give a crap about the time someone laughed so hard that milk came out of his nose. I imagine that 99% of the "stories" posted here will be of absolutely no interest to anyone except the author. Seriously, even your friends or spouse probably don't care about your "most embarrassing moment". That's a stupid question that uninteresting people ask on first dates because they lack any creativity in their conversational abilities.

Actually, that's not far from the truth. 2/3rds of the stories people create in Dandelife are not visible to the general public. Dandelife is not a blog in that sense. It's a place where people can share stories in the hopes that they start to parse out some more of their own. You get to know perfect strangers at the same time, even while you may only intend to share your stories with people you know already. Anyway, Dandelife is not for everyone. But thanks for giving it a try all the same.

actually, you are 99% *incorrect*. many of the stories i've read have been catalyst/inspiration for a lot of my own stories that i've ended-up posting. a story can remind readers of similiar event in their lives and write about it. the stories actually have a domino effect. :-)

Dandelife is actually a pretty cool site with nifty tools. I'm just a bitter, misanthropic cynic. I actually find myself playing with the site right now, and even though I'm not spending the time to write "stories", preferring to just get some events on the timeline, I can see myself going back to fill in the blanks at some point.

Toastie - Thanks for posting these comments. Really glad you came around to enjoying it here. There's still so much work to be done. You may be surprised that you can count on one hand the actual number of people who work full-time on this site. So getting feedback from people like you is crucial to us making the best use of our time. It helps a TON! That's my way of saying, don't fret being a cynic. Better that than being a total a-hole (and we've had our share of those, too). :-)
