Tropical tourist sees snow!

Snow felt to me like brown sugar, only white, and very cold.
I've seen frost settle in, on the windshield and on garden bushes,
but I haven't seen snow as it falls.
Wise people have told me not to wish it, it leaves motorists stranded
on lonely (and not so lonely) roads, seals people in their homes,
takes the power out...
I will not wish it, I know what a power outage is like, from typhoons.
I'm glad I've seen snow, is all.
