Paperclips − 24 February, 2007
I learned something new and special today about Joe. He has a "thing" with paperclips. He always finds them at special times in his life and they've always foreshadowed incredible things.
Way back in the day when he was running before I officially met him, he found one at his feet on the track during his warm-up. It was just there completely out of place. And that was the day he "took it all home."
The day before we officially met, he found two where he worked - a blue one and a pink one joined together.
The evening of the "turning point" of our relationship he found one on the doorstep before he knocked on the door to come in.
Today he found one when we went out for a spur of the moment breakfast with my "charge." He spotted it, picked it up and gave it to me with the sweetest smile in the world.
This is love.

How sweet! I wonder if you will get a paper clip ring...hmm... You could make some really cool jewlery!

That would be very interesting and completely possible as Joe and I have seriously discussed the fact that we will be designing our own wedding bands anyway. And since we can be a little silly like that who knows, right? Life was meant to be fun. :)
