My favorite Hungarian − 2 March, 2007
Yesterday, our neighbor/ friends Eszter and Botond left their son Marci with us for a few hours. I thought there would be a language barrier that would be difficult to overcome w/ a 2.5 yr old. But... we were fine! He is amazingly bi-lingual. Since about the age of 2 he has known to speak to his parents in Hungarian and to speak to Kyle and I in English. Since 2!!! Oh ya, he was fully potty trained by this point too!
So if I am bragging about someone elses kid, how will I be with my own..hmm...I will apologize in advance (btw - not preggers!). He is just amazing. He can play soccer, doesn't watch TV, and is learing to play the piano. Watching him and his parents has defienetly given me some good prospective on parenting. I know they are sponges at this point but this kid is alike a costco sized sponge!
I just love watching him grow and change from a baby to a little boy. I think everyone would be lucky to have a Marci in their life.
xoxo Marci!, Emily
