Vickie met Jess!  − 1 September, 1993

We were both Wildlife Mgt majors at UWSP and lived on the 3rd floor of Thomson Hall. My 1st memory of Jess is from the first week of Freshman icebreaker games. The RAs gave named an animal for each month, and we had to act-out whichever animal coincided with our birthday. August's animal was a chicken, so I did my imitation of the Cadbury rabbit. I looked over my shoulder, and to my surprise, there was someone getting really into the whole thing! It was Jess- clucking, scratching, and doing the wing flaps. Keep in mind that this this was on the front lawn of the dorm, in plain sight of the neighboring dorms and street!

Jess said her 1st memory of me was when she walked into the study lounge downstairs, and I popped my head up over the top of the dividing fence (there was a bizarre farm theme in the study, with wooden fences and astroturf).

Some of my fondest memories involve playing full-contact Uno until the wee hours of the morning, watching Speed Racer while doing laundry in the basement, and pounding on Jess's door before that early morning Forestry Lab (which we NEVER got to on time!).
