Red letter day  − 10 March, 2007

What a day! I have a very unique job in that it's basically my life. It's been like this for the past month and will be like this for the next two months. Dave is wonderful about it though and the job allows for us to spend copious amounts of time together.

Anyway, like I said - CRAZY day. I spent most of the day in the ER caring for my charge and the beautiful part about it all is that Dave was able to be there right with me. :) He is my heart and soul truly. Every lady needs a man like him who does things like tells you that they are the most beautiful and wonderful person in the world especially in times like what happen today.

Everything has turned out to be just fine but it was definitely scary. Probably I could have broken down in the midst of it all at some point but things just were happening way too fast for me to be able to stop and really think about what was happening. But even in the pauses when that could have happened? He was right there for me telling me incredible things and how much how loved me and that he wasn't going anywhere. I love him so very much.

And if he can be any better than all of that? Guess what he surprised me with last evening!
He made a big huge banner and hung it outside my apartment that says "Quynh *heart* Dave" with a big sunshine and flowers on it. He does stuff like this all the time. He's the greatest ever!

So you work together in the ER? How did that happen?

Actually no. Man if that were the case it would make us sound so much more glamorous, eh? :) My job is actually doing home Hospice kind of care for a disabled individual. It's a contract in-house position that I'm required to work 24/7 at. It's rewarding in so many ways but can be really wonderful as well and it's allowed Dave and I to be able to spend a lot of time together as he's able to help me with it at times and so we end up being a real team to be reckoned with! What a way to prepare for marriage and children someday, huh? :-D It's really cool and we BOTH really enjoy it a lot. It's brought us so much closer together and it's amazing to be able to give something together the way we do time after time.

You're right about the glamor. I was beginning to form a picture in my mind that was more "General Hospital" than "Magnolia". :-)
