Met the parents − 12 March, 2007
Today I met my future in-laws. :) I was very nervous but excited about it! They came to town for Dave's birthday and also because he wanted them to meet me.
His mother is just the most adorable thing you might ever see. She's teeny tiny and loves him so very much. Dave is easily a "Momma's boy" and she has so many great stories about him because of it. I cannot wait until I can finally visit his hometown and get to sit down with her and do things like look through their old family albums and really see the little fireball that I know he was when he was growing up. Meeting his dad was also very wonderful. He's accomplished some great things in his life and is a very amazing business man and has a real presence about him. One of the biggest treats though was meeting his grandfather. Dave's grandfather is VERY important to him and it was awesome being able to meet him finally - despite the fact that he was very tired from all of the weekend activities.
And despite all of my nerves about it all - I think it went very well! Dave's mom sent him an email thanking him for hosting them and said that she enjoyed meeting me and all. :) That's great! I just love Dave so much and I'm so glad that I can be a part of his life like this.
Next month: Dave gets to meet MY parents. :-O

Thanks! I was so incredibly nervous! Dave is up next! My parents are VERY excited to meet him. Don't even get my mother started - I'm sure she's already making her own version of wedding plans. ;) -Quynh
