dande-dreaming − 25 March, 2007
about a quarter are my dreams are about the web. now i'm not quite sure what that says about me other than the fact that i spend too much time on the web and need to find other hobbies. however, amazingly sometimes i dream about *new* ideas or features on the web as well.
last night i dreamt that *dandelife* had a new feature. it was a *mash-up* that used the google maps api. whenever somewhere posted a story to *dandelife* they had option of typing in the geographic location so when viewed on google maps you can *see* stories that were posted from different parts of the globe. when you moused-over the little bubbles a *pop-up* would appear with the avatar of the person posting the story along with the date and title of the story. it was a very *cool* feature.
the dream seemed so *real* that for a few minutes i was convinced that dandelife had that feature but alas, it was only a dream. however, it wouldn't be very difficult feature to add to *dandelife*. i'm a firm believer that *dreams* can come *true*.

You know, I've been doing lucid dreaming for years, but somehow, there's never text. There are images, feelings, sensations, colors, etc, but I can't remember having actually read anything in a dream, not to mention browse a web page. Weird, considering how much I read in real life. Of course, in dreams I spend most of my time flying anyway :-)

BTW, that dream came true. Sorta. We had it so that dandelife would send a tweet when you pusblished a story to the public. only people were publishing so much it kinda ended up being twitter-spam. so we're working on a better way to do it now. regardless, you can always see your tweets in dandelife now. half the dream! next half soon!

now that facebook announced *facebook platform* at f8, are you planning on developing a dandelife app for facebook? that would be really cool! ^^
