I'm a 33 year old Grandpa! − 23 March, 2007
Yes, I'm 33 and I'm a grandpa. Stephanie is 16 years old and got pregnant last year. Stephanie's son Cayden was born on this day at 4:58 p.m. He's absolutely adorable and, of course, the cutest grandson in the world.
I missed his birth because I was in LaGuardia's Gate B1 waiting for my delayed return flight home. I was in NYC on business on Thursday and Friday and that little bugger couldn't wait. :) I got home to Appleton at 10:45 and immediately went to the hospital. The weekend was full of visitors and hospital food. Cayden got circumsized on Saturday afternoon and I watched it. It was very interesting and he screamed so much when they numbed him that I was afraid to talk because he might associate the pain with the sound of my voice. :)
Cayden and his mom came home Sunday and are doing very well. He's actually sitting here next to me as I write this and is sleeping, well, like a baby. He's peed on me 3 times and I've changed 4 diapers so far.
I already look at him and imagine what he'll look like as an adult. I could just sit and stare at him for hours.
Just think, 3 years ago I had no one but me.
