Lifecasting - Dandelife Streams − 10 April, 2007
Here's a video preview of the Lifecasting Streams features that we're working on. I thought it would be a good idea to start showing off some of the work we're doing. I've been noticing a lot of chatter online about Life Streams and whatnot. Rather than let everyone else have all the fun, it only seemed fair that we included our take on the matter.
Why Streams? Because the droplets that you insert into your online presence add up. We collect it all into your stream. Double-entendre intended.
My streams are neat, but my friend's streams are neater. Can I stay on top of my friends' streams too? Yes. If they want to join dandelife, you'll be able to, erm, cross streams. If not, then you can simply add their feeds to your Streams and we'll mix them for you. We suggest the former, not the latter.
Why the wait? Because it's not as stable as we'd like it to be.
So cool. Where can I find instructions and a full feature list? I'm working on that. When the features go live, we'll make sure that instructions are clear and accessible then too.
I'd love to see what you all think. Please drop me a line and let me know, yeah?

Kelly, thanks for mentioning Lifestreamblog.com but I'm far more excited about this new functionality you plan on adding. From what I can see from the screencast your new feature set appears to put you in the lead for creating a lifestreaming social community. I know that you've followed the concept and I'm extremely excited about the hopefully imminent release. I will write up a preview and please let me know when you release. Or perhaps you need a beta tester :)

Thanks for the offer, Mark. And thanks for the kudos. I'm anxious to get this puppy live - seems like we've been testing for months. I'd be glad to give you the scoop, even if I won't be able to get you in on the testing of it. I know how to reach you, so I'll be in touch. Thrive!
