Safari − 31 March, 2007
Went on a Washington Photo Safari today as part of E. David Luria's "Monuments and Memorials" group. We started at the Andrew Jackson statue in Lafayette Park (just north of the White House), then headed over to the Albert Einstein Memorial (most folks don't know it exists, even though it's just north of the National Mall near the Lincoln Memorial). After that, we hit up the Vietnam and Korean War Memorials and then headed back east to Union Station for some indoor shooting.
I learned a lot about how to use my camera and had a blast. In general, it was fun to look at parts of DC that I'd seen before but hadn't really seen. But it was also fun to ask dumb questions along with a bunch of newbies, all of whom had more expensive cameras than me. :)
Some sample photos appear below or you can browse the whole set on Flickr. How'd I do?
