The Tunnel − 11 April, 2007
"The Tunnel" is track #7 on the new black era album, ...then...
This album was released just before my trip to D.C. In the time since, I guess you could say it has become my theme song. Listen to the song; it suggests travel, but it is also lonely and empty, like driving at night through an unfamiliar landscape -- no welcoming houses, only the cold iron glow of distant streetlamps and occasional glimpses of the moon wandering through ragged clouds.
There I am.
My wife won't be back until April 28th. In the meantime, I am compensating by trying to stay busy. If I keep myself preoccupied enough, maybe the void won't seem so near.
