billabong xxl  − 16 April, 2007

terry and i went to the billabong xxl global big wave awards show this past friday the 13th. we got there late, so we were stuck in the back w/the rest of the riff-raff, standing room only. biggest wave honors went to local kid greg long, for taking off on a 66-footer at dungeons in south africa. the best ride of the year went to ken skindog collins at puerto escondido. it was the biggest, deepest barrel i've ever seen. the entire room was up on their feet. this was the 2nd year i've attended the event. good times. you really run into a lot a familiar faces.

yeah those guys are totally wired differently than the rest of us. search for quiksilver dynamite surfing on youtube. if you haven't seen it yet. probably the coolest surf spot i've ever seen. and it came from a bunch of ad guys from denmark.
