A brief brush with fame.  − 18 April, 2007

This morning, whilst filling the drinks fridge I looked to my left and saw two people who seemed very familiar.

"Was that Liam Gallagher and Nicole Aplleton just there?" I thought to myself.
I looked over and sure enough it was.

Hmm.

Then herself walked over to me and asked "Excuse me, do you have any humus?"
"Yes, it's right over here" I said as I walked her round to where it was.
"Oh, thank you." She replied.

That was that. My very brief brush with those more noticeable than me.

She's also smaller than me whilst himself is a bit taller than me.

I love celebrity sightings. Especially when they are polite.

Indeed mate. It's a hotbed of celebs where I work apparently. So I'm looking forward to the next one.

Yes mate. You ever been and had a butchers with your old mince pies?

kga245 (April 18, 2007. 03:43pm)

I've been. Mince pies, yes. Not sure what the butchers are, but I'd be willing to bet they were in there. It took me 5 minutest to decipher that question. How'd I do?

Not bad. (Butchers hook = look) (Mince pies = eyes) Although the cockney rhyming slang is disappearing with time I fear. There are quite a few places on the internet where you can gleam the old cockney slang too. worth a butchers.

I need a cockney-english dictionary. It's a whole new language.
