Lancaster, PA − 1 June, 2002
In June of 2002, my wife and I traveled North to our niece Navasha's wedding. We made a vacation out of it. On the way there, we visited some family friends, Josie Byzek and Ginny Rogers, who live in Lancaster, PA.
This is, of course, Amish country, and we did some of the obligatory sightseeing. However, to me, the high point of the trip came in the simple trip we took one evening to Long's Park.
You know, I used to be the type who went on vacation and was always go-go-go, to see this attraction and that attraction. In my later years I find the most satisfying times are those where I just stumbled on to unexpected beauty. Here's a couple of panorama photos from the park so you'll understand. I usually shrink my photos so that they don't hog up the bandwidth, but this time, I made an exception.
Update: oops. Looks like my cool panoramas got shrunk anyway. Well, I'm out of time to figure this out for today. If you go to my Flickr page, you can find them and hit one of the buttons to look at it full size.
