event horizon  − 12 May, 2007

A day before mother's day and they've sent my aunt Eva home to die.  Her cancer has spread, filling her abdomen and spine. I have been numb and disbelieving. She has reached the event horizon. The point of no return. of no code, no chemotherapy, no alternatives. She has been so strong.
