Historic Whirlwind − 1 June, 2007
So I have this goal. It's not actually at the expense of the kids, but it's tough. It's exposure to the max though.
Ok, In the last 2 weeks I have taught my kids Medieval Europe, The Reformation, The Crusades, The Renessaince, (day 1) Then Modern Europe. I taught the history of Paris in one day (cheated and used a movie) then today, I taught how we got from the Renesance, to the European Union, and yes, I talked about WWI WWI, the Cold War, The fall of the Soviet Union, The American Revolution, the Russian Revolution, and even the French Revolution. (Today...)
Heh. This is damn dumb, and is a creation of the wonderful "No Child Left Behind." To meet the standards in the way that the district thinks we should, I have left all the children behind.
Great....
