2004—Webinars interacting with VOIP  − 1 January, 2004

Webcasts are a one-way transmission on the internet that have been around since the 1990’s. The introduction of the webinar in the early 2000’s brought two-way interactivity to the webcast but the telephone was still essential to communicate. Elluminate is an example of a synchronous webinar, where students can interact with the instructor via voice, keyboard, and/or video using voice over IP technology, no telephone is needed.   http://www.networkworld.com/news/2004/0224ellum.html   Submitted by: Gloria Schramm
