fell in love all over again − 4 June, 2007
I've been sort of coasting in my marriage for the last month or so - nothing has been extremely spectacular, nothing extremely traumatizing. Then I was sick most of this past week until now. I thought I might really cough up a lung at one point, so I haven't been feeling particularly well. Then today rolled around.
I can't really pinpoint exactly what happened, but all of a sudden I turned to look at James and I felt so much love towards him. Maybe it was something he did or the way he looked. Really, all he was doing was helping me make breakfast...and there I was, feeling like a giddy little school girl standing next to him. I've had several moments like this in my six years of marriage and it is so worth the dry spells (or what I typically call the "comfortable spells", where you feel like your just doing alright). I've just never officially written about any of these time-stands-still moments before (other than my wedding).
Anyway, I just wanted to record this moment. After all, it's the small things that really matter in the end, right?

I've had those too. My hubby and I have been a couple for 11 years. Since you mentioned in other comments that you're looking forward to being pregnant... go get a cheap tester - I get more of those "oh my gosh I can't believe how much I love this person" feelings right around conception myself. And make sure your husband knows you're feeling that way, don't keep it to yourself and your dandelife ;)
