Nature Garden − 20 April, 2007
A garden we created for the birds, bugs, butterflies and critters on and around the farm. The location of the garden was originally a dirty oil pit where the farm tractors and vehicles were fueled up.
No chemicals or unnatural elements, the flora and fauna keeps a fine enough balance with very little help other than the staking and dead-heading when needed. Seeds are saved from one year to the next, mixed and sprinkled randomly in the spring. We do add compost mixed with a few bags of good soil and add a top layer after seeding.
