Police called back  − 1 December, 2007

This week the police finally called (See story about someone hacking into my computer at the start of October). I went to see the police in October and the sergent-détective just got the papers. At first, she said that they might not be able to do something. But she called back wednesday and she said that they might be able to look into it as long as I have the original email. I do have it, I didn't erase it. One thing I learned about the police is it's one person against the other and if you don't have proof, it doesn't mean anything, they are not going to proceed. Even if a woman doesn't go to the police for nothing.

I don't think it was a hacker. Maybe someone just got into my Hotmail or Facebook because I didn't logout properly. But this person changed a lot of my passwords on many accounts and it just doesn't happen "like that". Or the person just decided to scare me and did all this for fun.

Anyway, a security technician at work looked into it as well and the person who changed my passwords, sent me what is considered by the police as a death threat has a Videotron account. He or She is going to be busted and I'm not going to forget about it. I was afraid for a while after this, my post-traumatic stress on "high" again.

I am not going to let this lie.
