Steph and I had no idea what we were in for. We wanted to get away for a spell while Steph was pregnant and see Noel and Sara since we'd be more busy when David came along. We flew in and the first sight we saw was my brother and his son Max, 2, eating a chocolate chip cookie. It was the first and only time we'd see him happily sitting in his stroller.
The next 6 days is a blur. I know I saw Ben and Julia. I got to hang out for a few days with Erik, Johan and Johan's betrothed (the first time we'd met, in fact), Anna. Steph did not get to do her shopping, however, and due to exhaustion we were in no mood for culture on most days.
The highlight of the trip was getting drenched on the 3rd of July after a massive snack-fest over at Erik's. We walked to the El in the rain after dropping Tom off at his house. Before that, much beer, and sun, and sore feet.
