Concert in Wien, Austria  − 16 November, 2007

After a trip by train from Munich to Wien (without any strikes !), we arrived at the Ananas Hotel. A lot of snow, snow balls, snow fights !
This is the capital of Sisi ( this one , not this one !).
Again, arrival at 12h00, rehearsal at 17h00, and concert at 20h00 !
After a big tension between the conductor and the musicians in Munich because of the too many rehearsal-traveling condition (poor boy, come on !), the global feeling of the orchestra began to be more confiant, more relax, and the concert in Wien tonight was a great performance.
Again, we played with Renaud Capucon the Korngold concerto for Violin, the Dutilleux, and the Mahler n4. Capucon played the same "encore" as he played in Strasnourg, and Friedrichshafen. Too bad !

We had a day off the next day. A Sunday in Wien !
We visited the Modern Museum for an exhibition about China called "China, Facing Reality", with artists like : Yue Minjun, Zhang Xiaogang, Fang Lijun, etc...
The rest of the day, we walked, we walked, etc...Quiet amazing City !
The night, we went to a Jazz Club called "Porgy and Bess", to see a french jazzman called Louis Sclavis, a clarinet player. Strange mix between electro (a bass played with a keyboard and sound like a jungle sub bass), modern jazz for ambiance, and rock for the sound of the sax and th guitar and the clarinet !
Back to the hotel, too many Grappa, and departure by plane for Stuttgart !

ps : sorry for my bad english,I'm french !! ; )
