This web site presents artists and labels not affiliated with the Recording Industry Association of America -- as well as links to buy the artists' product on Amazon and ITunes.
As you may or may not know, the RIAA represents the "major labels," who have driven up retail CD costs, launched lawsuits against 12-year-old children for having downloaded music on their computers, and are the standard bearers of a hidebound and moribund music industry.
There's a multitude of excellent music out there, in many different genres, that isn't released, distributed, or controlled by RIAA conglomerates. Check out RIAA-Free Music and check it out often, as it's a new and growing site!
