Gary Zerola − 8 January, 2008
They say only a fool would represent himself, however Gary Zerola has quite a lot of experience in criminal defense – that was apparently his shtick back in the days before he went to jail on rape charges.This is a guy who was listed in People Magazine as one of the 50 Most Eligible Bachelors. He was considered for a reality role on TV’s The Bachelor. He is good looking and from all other accounts – a foster-child success story. Definitely a success story, and even more impressive given his tumultuous formative years. Maybe they had something to do with his proclivity for violence. Perhaps he blames his mother and victimizes women as a way to get back at her. Or to heal the wounds of his past. I don’t know.All I do know, is that he stands accused of multiple rapes in Massachusetts and Florida – a couple of the victims only 19 years old. He is described as a serial rapist and has been accused of drugging at least one of the girls, and even “grooming” another buying her items at Neiman Marcus before attacking her.He is a good looking guy, and intelligent, I can’t imagine he has to rape a girl in order to get some action, unless that’s how he gets his kicks… Rape is a crime of violence, so I am guessing that he is driven to rape for reasons other than sexual satisfaction.My question is why such an intelligent (or so it would seem) person would go ahead and commit these crimes? Did he think he wouldn’t get caught? Or was above the law? Or was he just overcome in the moment, with no thought to the future repercussions? I mean, he defended people who committed similar crimes! Wasn’t he horrified at their behavior? Or perhaps he was fascinated and attracted to it…This is one situation where I think it would’ve been a good thing for there to be mandatory mental health evaluations for children that grow up in foster situations. Actually, I think psych evals should be done on grade school children routinely anyway to make sure everything is OK and nip problems in the bud. Teachers have no control of a home or parenting environment, but we can find these kids before they slip through the cracks if we make an effort. Perhaps if there were “basic right over wrong” and “coping skills” classes for children, starting in kindergarten (fostering teamwork and communication) we could help fix a lot of problems before they ever begin.Perhaps classes and evaluations would’ve prevented Gary Zerola from developing into a serial rapist. Or that kid from killing all those people in the mall. I don’t know.I do know we need to do something about it.

4 rape victims of Gary Zerola testified under oath about what happened to them. I have heard of at least 3 other victims that have come forward and told police similar stories. Below are blogs about 5 more victims. So far that is 12 women who all claim they are victims of Gary Zerola. There are many many more blogs posted by other victims of Zerola. Think about it. He is clearly a serial rapist and needs to be put away.

"Gary Zerola raped two friends of mine about 9 years ago. The last thing they remember was Gary buying them drinks at West St. Bar. They woke up naked next to Gary in the morning. Gary made sure he put enough drugs in their drinks so they wouldn't remember how they got there. They do know that they were raped. Neither of them had ever blacked out before in their lives. these girls are absolutely telling the truth. how do i know? i'm in the same boat. i hope gary is miserable and tainted for the rest of his life, just like the girls he abused.
