Yes, Santa Claus, there is a Virginia − January, 2008
The secret is out.
On Thanksgiving, I hinted around that my world was about to change in a big way.
This entire month, my entire life has been turned upside down. One, I remodeled my music room. Everything got disassembled to its component bits and strewn all over the house. I then painted, put in new floors, and totally rearranged the space.
I've got scenes of the chaos below.
Now, why did I go through all of this?
Well, when next Christmas rolls around, I won't be in Florida anymore. My family (Hannah, me, and the dogs) is moving to Virginia. I remodeled the room only to leave it behind, it seems.
Yes, that means leaving the school I've been working at for four years. And finding a new beginning somewhere else. Everything I've done in miniature in the past month -- disassembling my life and rebuilding it again in another way -- I'll be doing again this summer.
Except on a much larger scale, of course. From one small room to one entire life.
