valentine's day − 14 February, 2008

so, we were sick on valentine's day this year. matt was trying to get over the flu, and i'd just gotten it from him. i spent the day sneezing at my desk, and finally took off 10 minutes early because i was annoying my coworkers so much.

my phone rang just as i got to my car. mary was calling to tell me there was a delivery for me! i told her i'd swing by and come get it; she was nice enough to bring it down for me and everything. of course they were beautiful flowers from my boyfriend. since i knew it was unlikely i'd make it to work with The Sickness the next day, i brought them over to his place, where i'd get to see them all the time.

around 7, i realized i was running a fever. we were going to go to dinner if it killed me, though, so we went. despite feeling pretty miserable and having to steal half the restaurant's toilet paper to use as kleenex, we had a great time. the food and drinks were excellent, and of course we were all cute. :)

we had plans to go to the burlesque show afterwards, but there was no way i was going to make it in that condition. that's ok, we can go later!
