In the Hospital − 25 September, 2007
I've come to realize that many of the cliches surrounding parenthood are, in fact, true. None more so than the joy felt when holding your baby for the first time. One of the lesser-talked about side effects of parenthood is the compulsion to take pictures of everything baby. I think our camera got more use during the three days in the hospital than it had the previous year. The tiime went by in a blur, and I wasn't even the one on meds. Here is a small sample of what our world looked like in the days immediately following Stella's arrival.
Our friends and family were wonderful, as was the hospital staff. Unfortunatelly, we didn't get pictures of some pretty good stuff - like all of the fast food I ate or Mandy watching Grey's Anatomy, from a hospital bed (alomst caused a paradox.)
