2008 final five  − 20 March, 2008 - 23 March, 2008

if you know me, you know that i love hockey. university of minnesota golden gophers hockey in particular. that's why the final five is my favorite weekend of the entire year, at least for a weekend that occurs here in the twin cities.

a month ago, i'd have put money on the gophers not even making it to the tournament this year. but they fought like hell, and made it all the way to the championship game, the same one we watched them win last year. denver beat them 2-1, but that's fine. they were great, and they'll be playing in the NCAA tournament next weekend.
