My Little Boy is sick − 25 March, 2008

Magnus is my little boy. He's a wonderful handsome German Shephard. I love him. He's sick because of a tumor on his spleen. It may be cancerous, it may be benign, it may not even be a tumor, it may just be that the thing is twisted up and needs to be turned. None of us know anything. The Vet wants to operate on him to try and help. At best it's just opening up his abdomen and turning the spleen back the way that its suposed to be. At worst it's cancer and the spleen will have to be removed. At the far worst he could die from bleeding out during the surgery. I have no idea what to do. I have no clue at all. He has been ok today and part of yesterday. He seems to be feeling a little better each day. That's the cool thing. He seems to get a little more enegry every day, but then there is the danger of the tumor rupturing and him bleeding out. It's just so far out of the realm of what's real with an 8 month old puppy.

We had him scheduled for surgery this morning. We didn't take him in. It just seems like it's too big of a risk without taking a little more time to look him over and make sure that this thing isn't going to work itself out. So that's where we are right now. Waiting to see what he looks like in the next couple days.
