Fragments − 8 April, 2008
Have you quested enough
for the unknown beloved?
Have you yet found a cure
for your need?
Through fog of the mind,
maternal malign and
the shy, smiling clown
do you know that it’s me?
Division of self
unglues your resolve.
To breathe on your own
is a chore.
I am the darkness,
only known without light,
and you still believe
through the pain.
Barriers melt
into inky black wings:
the raven’s eye
will open your mind.
Offer, Beloved;
I welcome the burden.
Remember, my Love,
I am here.

If you were a musician, oh, the music you could make with this poem...
